Another tool besides StreamTransport to capture video from non tub sites?

I am trying to save a video from a non tube site. I tried StreamTransport and I did like but had problems. So I am trying to find something else that can save the video and save it in a better format.

You could try FRAPS. It can capture anything you can see on your screen. You will have to re-encode it to a more compact or more common format.
