    hi all does any one know how to make still images of video files and how to find out the resolution
    on linux debian. i have search the net for toolz to do this and all seem to be for windows

    any help with the would be great thank you all

    Vlc provides snapshot and video details

    Or you could use gspot via wine which supposedly works

    thanks for your reply m8 vlc worked spot on i could not get gpot to run with wine

    but vlc worked thanks again

    MediaInfo has a Linux version. http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en (I'm posting the main site link here, just as a quick shortcut, as VideoHelp's Tools page doesn't provide a direct link for the Linux version.)
