Creating Menus on avi files

Hi Friends,


I write avi files(movie files of size abt 700-800MB size)using nero as data disc which are playable on my stand alone DVD Player but not able to create menus.if i make video file using nero it will be re encoded which results in larger file sizes and will consume more time.Is there any way to write the avi files without converting them and still be able to create menus.any help will be appreciated
