Recently i bought a Vado HD. I could transfer files into Mac Book Pro directly by copying. When i try to import the Vado HD file into FCP then the file is not seen in the preview and it says NO CODEC found. How do i edit Vado HD files in FCP and get a best quality output from the edited version. Pls help. Thanks in adavance.
regards,
Vansep
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Instead of copying files, have you tried to let FCP import (File > Log and Capture) the footage directly from the camera?

You should be using the included Vado Central software to encode to MP4, which then unfortunately*
can be imported and then transcoded again into DV Stream for FCP.
From website:
Vado Central
Vado Central is a simple, easy-to-use video editing software that lets you
- preview video clips.
- transfer files to your Mac.
- convert videos to MP4 format for use in iMovie®.
- edit videos via iMovie, or using built-in Movie Creator software.
- upload videos/photos to various social media sites.
( *to avoid the quality hit you'll get importing into FCP)
or use the Vado Central software to try and export it (if possible) to
DV Stream, which FCP favors for editing."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
