  1. Hi video newbie here. I am helping my daughter produce a DVD for her college applications. It is about 5 to 10 min audio and video produced in Final Cut Express v. 4.01 in .mov format. We posted it on line but were also advised to include a DVD copy. I exported the .mov file to dvd but it will not play in a commercial dvd player, nor any PC computer we tried.

We also tried saving the video with Final Cut Express export function to mpeg4 format, but the resulting video was horrible.

We would rather not rely on the admissions committee having a Mac or even having quicktime installed on their computers. Is there a way to burn the .mov file and embed QT player or some other way to make the DVD self contained? We would like it so that all they have to di is load it into a DVD player or any PC computer.

    THanks!

Use iDVD and make a standard dvd-video.
