I purchased EastCap USB2.0 Video adaptor with audio for the purpose of tranferring VHS video tapes to my PC with intent to copy to DVD. The driver will not download from the installation disc. The software ie. Ulead Video studio downloads but not the device driver. Any suggestions?

  2. At the risk of insulting your intelligence, which I certainly do *not* intend . . . .

I did a Google search on "EasyCap driver" and found links to lots of others who have had this same problem, starting a couple years ago . . . . Didn't see any quick solutions and some of the links are now broken, but I only checked a few.

You might start there and/or check with the manufacturer's website, if you can find one.

I saw one comment: "Note: if you have any antivirus software enabled, please disable it during the installation of the software."

At another site: "search youtube videos:How to get EasyCap Drivers OR

install the latest free drivers here :http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W64LW1DJ
After you type in the 3 LETTERS wait for the free driver download on the right.

    capture programs -https://www.videohelp.com/tools

AFTER PROGRAM AND HARDWARE INSTALLATION IN XP I COULD NOT GET INPUT SIGNAL FROM MY DV CAMCORDER TO SHOW IN THE ULEAD VIDEO STUDEO INTERFACE.

AFTER 6 HOURS OF INSTALL-UNINSTALL AND DRIVER UPDATES IN DEVICE MANAGER I DID THIS

1.OPEN THE ULEAD VIDEO STUDEO PROGRAM 2.CONNECT THE EASYCAP USB DEVICE 3.ON TOP LEFT CLICK CAPTURE 4.IN THE MIDDLE CLICK CAPTURE VIDEO.5.UNDER THE WORDS:CAPTURE FOLDER, CLICK ON OPTIONS (THE LITTLE ROUND GEAR OBJECT) 6.CLICK VIDEO AND AUDIO CAPTURE PROPERTY SETTINGS 7. CLICK SOURCE 8. MAKE SHURE TV SYSTEM IS THE ONE IN YOUR COUNTRY 9.CLICK OK.10.A BLUE SCREEN APPEARED AND WHEN I PUSHED THE PLAY BUTTON ON THE DV CAMCORDER I COULD CAPTURE THE VIDEOIMAGE ON THE LEFT SIDE.

Good luck, and be sure to tell us how you solved the problem, for the benefit of others!

There are apparently several different devices being sold as EasyCap USB 2.0. Drivers are hard to find for some of them, there is no manufacturer or retailer support for most of them, and problem reports are many.

You could try the drivers from this link: http://www.vidblasterus.com/accessories.htm
The drivers for Sabrent's USB 2.0 Video & Audio DVD Maker have also been reported to work for some of them http://www.sabrent.com/drivers.php

No guarantees that any of these will work, and as always, virus scan the downloads before installing.

Hi all - I purchased an "EASIER CAP" USB dongle about 12 months ago, Its the black version with only 3-leads (red/white/yellow with RCA sockets - there is no S video socket).
It was supplied with a mini CD yellow in colour marked USB DVR Capture, USB 2.0 Video with Audio. Model DC60-008 Version 4.0A Win 8 Installation and application software.
Apart from the manuals there are only two application files on this CD called eNJOY PLAYER OTHER, and eNJOY PLAYER_XP, and neither work.
I have tried using VIDEOSTUDIO 7 and I do see the video from my VCR but its torn to the left side and covered in green horizontal lines with no sound.
Ive tried a few other commercial video capture programs with this Easier CAP device but end up with the exact same results as I get from VS7.
Is it a matter of putting the Easier CAP device under the wheel of my car ???? Any ideas ???

If you have some free time, I would try the drivers on this site:
    https://visser.io/2015/06/easycap-drivers-for-windows-8-1/
and see if they work. You might have to follow the directions on the site to disable signed driver enforcement. If it all happens to work, try capturing with virtualdub.
