I have one question about information of HD Camcorder of Panasonic ( HDC-SD700 ). It is " 1080/50p , 1080/50i " for signal system. I would like to know what is "50" ? and what is the importance ? Thank you so much in advance for reply.

50 frames or fields per second. Typical for countries which use 50Hz electricity, and/or 50Hz (usually "PAL") video. Main alternative in such countries is 25p for film-like look.

The alternative is 60 frame or fields per second. Typical for countries which use 60Hz electricity, and/or 60Hz (usually "NTSC") video. Main alternatives in such countries are 24p for film-like look, and 30p for something that looks slightly smoother than film but less smooth than video.

According to a quick Google, Thailand is/was PAL with 220V 50Hz electricity, so 1080/50 is the right format for you I would guess.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    David.
