  1. I keep getting this error:

    C:\Program Files\FreeTime\FormatFactory\FormatFactory.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no luck

I have exactly the same problem. I use Firefox browser to download and thought that might be the problem so I used IE8 next, and still got the error message. Should I go back to an older version? BTW it's impossible to ask the folks at Free Time about this since they have no "contact us"

I've downloaded XMedia Recode but it doesn't look good. It's in German with no Eng translation,
plus it looks like FF is easier to use and more versatile.

Next I'll try to download an older version of FF. I've used FF for years with no trouble til now.

This may be co-incidence but here's what I did, and it fixed the problem. I used REVO uninstaller to remove all traces of earlier downloads of Format Factory. Next, I downloaded an older version of Format Factory: version 2.60

Now it's working fine. Later I'll opt for an upgrade to the latest version when prompted. But, not now.
