QT Pro and copy/paste .mp4

My QT pro 7.6.4 does not it seem copy and paste .mp4 ITs fine with .avi and .wmv and .mov

is there a way around this?

It may be a bug.

Do a lossless rewrap from MP4 to MOV (QT supports this: SaveAs).
Then, cut and paste without problems. Then, another SaveAs to MP4 again.

*NOTE: Be mindful of cutting on I-frames, or you'll HAVE to recompress (and incur loss).

however when i do SaveAs it says this movie contains an incorrect time value.

what does that mean? I can pass the movie through ElGato turbo HD and that .mp4 will copy and paste.

any further ideas?

of further note the ElGato Turbo 264 HD takes a .mov and exports a .mp4

I havent used this program much and it doesnt seem to give me choices I got it with the EyeTV as a package.

guess its time to finds its manual
