I filmed a presentation and recorded the audio separately using a PC.

The problem is that the audio has a very audible buzzing in it.

Is there any way that I can remove this?

    Any help would be appreciated,

You could try filtering it with the freeware audio editor Audacity. Try the noise filter after clipping out some representative buzz.

In Sound Forge, I'd use the Paragraphic Equalizer. The idea is to isolate the frequency range of the buzz and lower the gain for just that range. There's a guide here, which includes several presets for buzz removal: http://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/video/restore-audio-soundforge.htm

    Yes, not cheap.

It looks like Audacity has a similar, though simpler, tool: Effect->Equalization

You can click and drag the line in the frequency graph to lower the volume at specific frequencies. Just experiment until you hit the frequency of the buzz. But try the Noise Removal tool that redwudz suggested first. That may be enough on its own.

There's quite a few threads on this topic at http://www.digitalFAQ.com/forum/forumdisplay.php/restore-filter-improve-17.html
and software use ranges from DC Forensics ($$$$) to Sound Forge ($$$) to Goldwave ($$) to Audacity ($0).

The method you can use depends on severity. Samples required.
