    I'm trying to convert an H264 MP4 movie file to a DIVx because my home divx player does not recognize the file...
    I tried renaming it and changing fourcc which was a waste of time

    I tried Mobile media converter (it takes 3 hours and was still 1/3 of the way) and WinAvi (which doesn't even start), virtualdub mod (which does not even allow me to open the file) and Super (hangs with an error after I press Encode) help....

    Oh by the way, the file is a torrent I downloaded... VLC plays it OK but no luck converting it so far... help!!

    Use xmedia recode or winff. Convert to avi xvid.

    Is it Fast? Mobile Media converter is slowwwww (just on this file, but anything else MMC is good)
