Hey, Ive got an mkv file here with DTS audio, and Ive read a lot of things about DTS on PS3 but I'm still a little confused as to how to get it to work.

Whenever I use MK2Vob to convert the file, the DTS is ALWAYS transcoded to AC3 for some reason. Always. Even if I click "dont transcode DTS"it does so anyway.

Is there something wrong with my computer, or are there certain settings I need? What must I do to have a playable DTS audio file on the PS3?

I also have another question, in the case that i absolutely must convert the DTs, is it better to convert it to PCM or AC3?

DTS is supported on the PS3 from optical disc (i.e. DVD Video or AVCHD/BD) or from an AVCHD format on USB media. It won't even play back DTS audio from .m2ts files if they are taken out of the AVCHD structure.

MultiAVCHD can create appropriate formats for burning to DVD blanks or putting on USB media for playback with full DTS audio.
