    Hi,
I'm using AviDemux to make a x264 movie on a MKV file. So, I cannot understand completely the settings for MPEG-4 AVC codec, for using this MKV to my LG BD370 Blu Ray Player. Any other MKV file (even720p than 1080p) works fine.

How I make this configuration works?

Try find a x264 configuration/preset that you could use. I guess you should try keep it at h264/avc level 4.1. Check http://avidemux.org/admForum/viewtopic.php?id=4533

Or convert with Megui, StaxRip or Xvid4psp and use ps3,xbox360 or similar profiles.

Thanks a lot. Now I'll try these presets for AviDemux. If the solution is not properly, I'll try MeGUI.

Another question: where can I find information about configuring MeGUI for stand alone MKV/MP4 compatible encoding?

  5. Each device is different , and some have quirks of particular settings to avoid or include

The profiles you download in megui are generic but should work for most of the targetted devices that are named in the profile

If you want more comprehensive information on blu-ray look here. (blu-ray imposes many restrictions and a blu-ray compatible encode should work on most devices that support avc high profile)

Another option is to encode to avchd. Try multiavchd.
