  1. Hello all!

I have a Sony HDR FX-1000 and using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 with DVD Architect Pro 5.0, can some one tell me the render settings for best quality (HD) for DVD in vegas.

    Thanks a lot

Do you want HD, or DVD ? They are not the same.

For DVD, use the mainconcept mpeg-2 output, and adjust the bitrate accordingly. If you are putting more than 70 minutes on the disc, use two-pass encoding.

If you are going for HD, then I would suggest rendering to a lossless codec out of Vegas, then using an encoder that uses X264 to encode to AVCHD compliant standards, authoring with MultiAVCHD and burning with Imgburn.

Well if you are edit in vegas then I think the best is to let Vegas greate a mpeg/ac3 file.
The easy way is click on the "Make Movie" on the menu, then pick DVD and don't forget to tell Vegas to create DVD widescreen.
Then let the open DVD Architect and let it create a DVD for you that you can play in a DVD player.

    The Pro version doesn't have a 'Make Movie' button . . . . . . . . . . . .
