  1. Yeah, title explains this one. I bought an EasyCap DC60 a few months ago to record my ps3 games. Since I use my mac the most, I used the easycap Viewer application to view, and record. I noticed that some of the frames would be messed up. They wouldn't exactly, "drop", but they would be like out of place. Only for one frame. And it was well, I'd say every minute when I first bought it. it didn't happen very frequently, but now, it happens once every second, and it is really annoying me now. A good example of what I am talking about can be found in this video I recorded here:

it begins to happen about 10 seconds in. This was not recently so it is not as frequent as it is now. I also had to reduce the framerate from 60 to 30, so a lot of it got cut out. Which was good help, but not good enough. Here are a few shots of what it looks like:

I have also noticed lately that the audio sounds staticy sometimes. Not all the time, sometimes while I am in the middle of playing, it will go static, then it might stop later, then happen again.

Update: I just bought a new cable, with s-video, so now I am using s-video input. Same problem with video and audio

If anyone knows what is causing this or how to fix it, it would be awesome! Thanks!

  2. Bad usb port /Usb connection / Usb cable. Support the usb stick with some Blutak
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

  3. I tried my 2 other usb ports, it did help a bit. It made it better. Audio problems are a lot less now. Video frame thing is still happening, but less frequently. What is BluTak? All I can think of is the stuff you use to attach papers to a wall. xD

    5V 250mA consumed by device.

You might look at other usb devices connected to the system ... best to disconnect non-essential devices such as external drives, scanners ... and try captures again.

And as for blutak ... yes it is what your thinking but round here it's only fit for plugging holes ... steady the device using tape is better.

  5. Since I'm on my Mac, I have 4 USB ports. This is an iMac btw. So I have my keyboard in one. And the keyboard has 2 more USB ports on that. So I have my mouse in one. Is it possible that the keyboard is using too much power? Because it is powering itself and two more devices. Are we ABSOLUTELY sure that it is a power situation? Because i know if I disconnect it, the program I run it with stops working. So If the power stops flowing for a split second wouldn't that happen.. What the heck. I don't know what I'm talking about. So someone get back to me on that. And this bluetak/tape. What am I doing? Steadying the device? Making sure it doesn't move? It is steady now, but I guess it has to be exactly perfectly in line and not moving? Sorry this is the only area in computers I have little experience in xD
