    i have a pentium3.4 single core with 2gb of ddr400 with a geforce fx 5950 265mb video ram.

    is it because of these specs that i cant play any MTS avchd s m o o t h l y thru MPClassic Home Cin 1.3 ????????

    You either need a very fast CPU (Core2Quad) or a display card with h.264 hardware decode (e.g. NVidia PureVideoHD or ATI AVIVO-HD) or a mix of CPU/GPU.

    Your CPU and display card are both inadequate.

    If your motherboard can accept a modern PCIe display card, the full load could be taken by the card's hardware h.264 decoder.
