    Hi!

What I miss in the stickys: Programms to make .mpg from .ts/.trp (SD).

    I saw this sticky: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/214246-Fix-repair-DVB-DigitalTV-sync-problems

But how can a user find this sticky if he looks for a simple "DVB-Converter"?

I know PVA-Strumento, ProjextX and MPEG Streamclip. But none of this programms works perfect for me. TS Sniper is also far away from work flawless.

Someone knows good alternatives for programms I mentioned?

    Thx

How can I export a .ts to mpg-PS?

PVAStrumento: Doesnīt accept .trp, no cut-function. Sometimes, at least with broken streams or long files i have big probs, the video and audio hangs. In some files I gut audio/video synchronize-probs, especially when using big files.
But overall my favorite PRG atm, the automatic cutting at video/audio-change is great idea . I like also the automatic 16:9 / 4:3 recognize.

MPEG Streamclip: Easy cuts, but not stable.

ProjextX: No Player-Function, very difficult to choose the cut-scene because u can only make jumps to next frames

TS-Sniper: Very slow when add big files, Export as MPG-PS I canīt choose

  4. Your files contain MPEG 2 video? Or MPEG 4 video?

    SD, so itīs MPG2

  6. Why do you want to convert it if it's already MPEG2 ?

You can try rewrapping to MPEG-PS with ffmpeg or avidemux

    Have you tried videoredo ?

The programms i mentioned should show u that I donīt mean new encoding

But standard-TS-Files not compatible to (most?) DVD-Authoring-Tools, so I need to make mpg.

Do ffmpeg or avidemux correct streams like PVAStrumento?

I will try in next days VideoRedo, it looks interesteing, also because of Ad-Scan

No error correction in those 2, they were just given as options to re-wrap (no re-encoding). For error correction , I think ProjectX would be the best choice, PVAStrumento is decent too. Videoredo has a "quickstream fix" option as well

Often transmission are really bad and none of them can correct, so you have to manually process (chop out bad segments)

I donīt have many probs with my streams

Only if real bad weather I have slight probs, mostly PVAStrumento have no probs. But sometimes the output-files have sync probs

I only use ProjectX or MPEGStreamclip if I need to cut or have probs with Strumento

Well, the Ad-Detective lokks great to me

But can I choose that Redo makes files after every cut, not the complete input-file to one output-file?

Yes, it is possible to save only part of the file.

    1. Set up VideoReDo to use the "Scene Mode" option.
    2. Mark the starting point for a clip using "Sel Start" and the end point for the clip using "Sel End".
    3. Click on "Add Selection" to place the clip in the Scene List.
    4. Click on"Save As" to write the clip you just added to the Scene List to a file.

...or put multiple clips in Scene List and use "Save As" to join them all together.

VideoReDo doesn't provide a way to do what you want directly. This is the alternative...

    1. Click Ad-Detective.
    2. Click "Invert Scene Selection"
    3. Use File->Save Project to save only the cut list.
    4. Delete all the selections from the Scene List other than the one you want to save.
    5. Click "Save As" and export the clip
    6. Open the project file you saved
    7. Delete all the selections except the one you want to save
    8. Click "Save As" and export the clip
    9. Reat steps 6-8 until all the clips are saved.

Well, I take a look at the cīt

I tried many progs, but still I donīt find the perfect one. Many commercial programms arenīt better than some freeware, but maybe easier to handle. Other all-in-one want always to convert DVB-recordings, thats a shame.

BTW, are u the guy from rpc1?

    Yes, I thought you knew.
BTW, sorry about TSDoctor, the ct license runs up to 2011 only.

What exactly do you want to achieve?
You probably record the TS via a PVR or DVB card, right?

What target you have in mind?
DVD video, vob, AVCHD, BD or just a "standard" mpg to play on a mediaplayer device??

PS. Maybe DVR-studio from Haenlein software is such an all-in-one tool.

I read it in cīt, so I donīt bought it

ATM I use mostly SD, my target are DVD. I want programs that donīt convert the streams (costs time and quality). For DVD-Authoring I use old Pegasys TMPEG DVD Author. Itīs a bit sensitive about the media, but it donīt convert like the newer versions do.
So I need a trick to author files with 544x576, but with DVDPatcher theres no prob

My biggest point is, taht I collect series and burn it when I ahve it complete. For this I need a prog that make my ts to mpg(2).

I used also PVAStrumento, ProjectX and MPEG Streamclip.

    My new favorite is Videoredo

It is very fast, donīt convert and have a good ad-detective.

I also tried Haehnlein, but for SD it isnīt the best, DVR Studio HD canīt .ts --> .mpg like the old DVR Studio Pro

Donīt do much with HD, but a good program for that is imho Ulead/Corel Video Studio X3

Yep, but I think I tried all freeware I found

I use still PVAStrumento, but after I get Videoredo I donīt used ProjectX and MPEG Streamclip

I donīt have probs to pay for good software if itīs donīt to expensive; but DVR Studio isnīt real good for things I want to do.

But If i found new Freeware with good abilities, I will test it

I've used HDTVtoMPEG2 (free) on SD and HD streams with good results. Also, MPEG Video Wizard ($$$) works well.

Conversion only in rare occasions for friends.........
