    Hi,

I've been trying to figure out the best way to subtitle videos to multiple languages.

Here is my issue. I have a English video that I create a .srt file for or I get all the relevant language .srt files.
I then want to hard encode all the different languages over the same source video and export a video for each language.

Is there software that will batch process the lot for me.

Currently I have to do each video manually where it would be better to point to the source and the diferent language srt's and then get a video for each language.

I look forward to any insight.

  2. You can use AVIDemux or VirtualDub to do that! Both are free and available through the tools section.

  3. If you use AviDemux check out the Wiki for info on the scripting capability. There should be an example script and some documentation on the Wiki.

    Thanks for the replies.

I'll give your suggestions a go.

Another question you may be able to help with.
I've used Divx land media subtitler but found it a little trick to get the timing exactly can you recommend a better subtitling tool.

    Hi Again,

I went off and decided to use Jubler as I found a guide that ties in nicely with AVIDemux

    Thanks
