No Sound Coming From Media Player or Online Media Players

Hi

I cannot get any sound from my Media Player when playing MP3 or Video. The same thing happens when on Youtube.

Can anyone please advise?

I have already checked for mute on volume.

It might help if you filled in your computer details, and told us which media player.

Did this happen suddenly ?

What else have you done recently - installed a codec pack or converter ?

Have you tried something like VLC or The KM Player, which have their own codecs ?

Installed - Lavasoft's registry scanner and repair tool

Installed and uninstalled - Lavasoft's Ad-Aware Total Security. (Making PC run slow)I'm using VLC player

I had factory rebooted PC before the installments.

So using VLC gives you no audio from mp3 files ? Are these mp3 audio files, or mp3 audio inside a video container ?

Both

Audio and video. Don't matter which format the file is in you cannot hear. same with video you can see but not hear.
