  1. Hey

I have just been given about 60+ clips of footage to edit. The footage is 1080 h264.

The clips play without of problem from the Finder, they play fine from the Bin withing FCP but as soon as they are placed onto the timeline the sound will glitch every 2 or so seconds. When adding clips to the timeline I click yes for it to auto change the sequence settings to those of the clips.

I'm pretty sure I have had this before but brain clearly doesn't want to release the information I need to myself.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

place clips in timeline, render the assets ( both audio and video)
    save the FCP project.

Check timeline then, are the clips playing correctly now?

  3. Thank you for your reply, unfortunatly this has not helped. The clips still have very bad glitching on the Audio.

I thought I had fixed it by converting all clips into Apple Pro Res but now whenever I hit play on the timeline I hear a massive pop/click sound and then no audio comes from my mac at all. I have to reboot to get audio back. I am going to try to convert the video files to other formats and see if I have more luck.

All I know about the footage is that it was recorded on an XD cam.

If anyone has any advice that would be great.

    Thanks
