I've connected my JVC HR-S3800U VHS recorder to the front panel of my Toshiba DR570KU DVD recorder using a composite cable for video and audio thru a SIMA CT-200 to the Toshiba. I get audio just fine but the screen is solid blue (no video). How I correct the problem?

    Thanks all

  2. Look at the menu of the dvd recorder it might have an option to select s-video or rca/composite, mine does and has regular sent me heading for the valium, or the vcr might have that option choice in the out menu.

Yep, look for a setting to change input source.

I unplugged and replugged the SIMA box between the VCR and the DVD recorder. Eureka!! It worked.

    Thanks
