I am trying to figure out the VC-1 specs for HD video and blu-ray compatibility, so far I have come up with this for VC-1:
Advanced Profile
L2
20 Mbps
720 × 480 @ 60 Hz (480p)
1280 × 720 @ 30 Hz (720p)
Here it shows 1280x720 indicating 720p (progressive) but looks like the frame rate is 30 fps for VC-1, but the blu-ray spec for 1280x720 is 59.94p, 50p, 24p and 23.976p
I can use wmcmd.vbs and asf2vc1 or avs2asf to create 1280x720 elementary streams at 23.976 or 24 fps but VC-1 AP-L2 only allows 30fps - what gives? and does 30 Hz refer to interlaced as it seems to do re L3 1920x1080 @30 Hz (1080i)?
L3
45 Mbps
1920 × 1080 @ 24 Hz (1080p)
1920 × 1080 @ 30 Hz (1080i)
1280 × 720 @ 60 Hz (720p)
Here is shows 1920x1080 @30 Hz which I presume refers to the blu-ray spec of 59.94i
Any info is appreciated. TIA

It seems to me the VC-1 "profiles" have nothing to do with *Blu-Ray compliance*.
