After long long waiting finally PRO version of Splash player is out.
For me its must have for all who watch HD videos.

Some advantages over Lite version (not all, just what i like):
    - hardware acceleration for H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1 on nvidia, intel and ati cards
    - Motion2 - frame interpolation for smooth video playback (for motion2 you need quite fast CPU!)
    - SmartSeek - never seen it before in video players, thats something i like the most
    - DetailBoost and LightBoost - very nice filters for movies
    - SPDIF and HDMI bitstream of audio

    30 day trial available

    Hi,

just downloaded and im using splash pro. there is cool smartseek option (my fav feature hehe) in this player and i wonder if
this is something new or is there any other player with similar functionality.

Its quite handy and looks awsome when theres a nice content playing.

heres a screenshot from mirillis web but it looks and works better in real.

Just purchased Splash PRO after few days testing with HD content.
For me 1000 times better and easier to use than AviSynth.

I really recommend to test the trial:
    http://mirillis.com/en/products/splashpro.html

There are much more video posprocessing features in it, but Motion2 i the one I really was looking for.
    Have a nice testing

I don't know what chalk and cheese means..but I can assume you are referring to the fact that Avisynth should not even be compared with a video player.

I just wish I could see the info-mercial expressions they make to one another while saying their lines.

I really do like the splash player though :P. I've recommended it to a few people when they ask. but it's painfully obvious you're being pimped out when you

1 - Use the exact buzzwords and phrases straight off their website.
    2 - Poses a "question" that's not really a question.

    Baldrick, thanks for merging threads.
Im a splash lite fanboy but not a spammer, if i spammed with one thread to much im sorry.
I just felt that it is appropriate to add a news about PRO version and a more detailed question in players section.

greymalkin: im really asking for other players with similiar to smartseek function, want to compare it and check if this option is available when playing videos from cd.

  15. Many players shows a frame you are going to seek to. Just drag the current progress position and search for frame you want (tried VLC?).

Stunningly similar name to marcello.marengi. Interesting. Right down to the (DOT) between the two names.

Quickly tested this(v1.5.0) against TMT5 using Avatar Blu-Ray ISO mounted. Not impressed...sorry spammers. I had to navigate to the main movie file whereas TMT recognizes it as complete disc showing menu and options. It also would not show just the forced subs. It would show all English dialogue not just the Naavi. TMT5 handled the subs correctly. Not trying to push TMT, I use Pot Player for most videos. Perhaps Splash does better with other discs but for me it's about to be uninstalled.
