    So i downloaded the software and i went on subresync. I open the .ass file then i press save as .srt . The file saves as a subtitle file but when i try to play the video/drama, the subtitles do not appear. I have checked and made sure the names are the same with the .srt after the name but the subtitles are still not showing :S

    So i tried to install the new directvobsub but nothing appears what do i do?
    First of all, there should be a "Start Menu" shortcut to the configuration dialog of VSFilter.dll.

    Assuming the "default settings" are "good enough" already...

    What player are you using? Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, BS Player,
    should all accept working with VSFilter.dll without any/major issues...

    You might:

    --- open and play your "video.xxx" + "video.srt" (generic names of course) in MPC;

    --- press the pause button ;

    --- open Graphstudio, press "CTRL + G", click "Connect" ;

    --- post a screenshot to this forum ;

    (no better ideas ATM, apologies).

    P.S.: when you open the .SRT file in Notepad,
    does this show you anything "readable" ???

    So you're out of luck.
    There aren't many "Videohelpers" who speak Inuktikut, I presume.
