Soniq QMD80B Portable region coding firmware update

Hello Guys,

First, check your serial number on your unit as I am using REV4BATCHJ01 and it worked with this. The Soniq tech support guy did ask for these details, so I do not know if that matters with this Firmware upgrade and I do not have the means to test it on another version besides my own unit. So please be aware you are at your own risk and hopefully do not brick your unit.

Download ISO file. Provides .bin and .cue provided by Soniq Techical Support.

Burn ISO to CD - R.

Put into QMD80B player and a black screen will appear asking "Would you like to upgrade. Press play".

Press "Play" and wait a minute and unit will restart.

Hi,

Just a word of warning, this upgrade won't work for the QMD71B, it will brick your player (the screen fills with white vertical lines). LFMF
