Hello,
I have a hardware media player (TV Star T1000 - cheap stuff, with DVB-T tuner).
The problem is that almost none of my SRT subs get displayed when playing the movies.
The only SRT that works is this 4months.srt, which I uploaded.
I also uploaded itl.srt, which doesn't work (but works everywhere else I tried it, including in some old Yamada DVD player).
So, I'd like to know what is so special about 4months.srt that it works. (It's definitely not the file name, because I tried renaming them.)
Also, when I try to load 4months.srt in Subtitle Workshop it says it's a bad subtitle or unsupported format.
It looks just like a regular subtitle file in Notepad... What am I not seeing?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Solved. It was because 4months.srt was saved in UNICODE and the others were either ANSI or UTF-8.
So the players wants the subs in unicode.
If you have any other tips or thoughts, tho, feel free to post them.
