Hello,
please bear with me, itīs first question
I have a bunch of video files with the ending *.mp4 and i would like to convert them to DVD format.
I tried to do this with MAGIX Video Deluxe, but i could not open the files.
Then, i followed the help in this forum and downloaded "Any Video Convert" - but this only says "Cannot get media information from the video file ... insert failed" (translated from german).
So, i am quite helpless in getting further with my plan to convert the files.
BTW, the "VLC media player" can play the videos, while "SMPlayer" cannot - it only plays the audio-part.
What can i do now?
:-O
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Thanx for your reply!
This is "Trialware", that costs $50 to use regulary ...
I would very much like to get freeware
But to find a program that works, i would need to know which data format is used in the files.
Isīnt there a program that can analyse the content? -
Thanx!
That helped
The videos are in "MPEG-TS" format ... never heared :-O
General

File size : 33.4 MiB
Duration : 2mn 51s
Overall bit rate : 1 634 Kbps
Audio

Menu ID : 1 (0x1)

Now i am going to find a program that convert those ... (any idea already?) -
That is not an MP4 file, it an MPEG transport stream file. Its filename should end in .TS, not .MP4. It doesn't appear to have any video, only audio.

The smallest file i have is still 25MB ...
Maybe you can have a look?
http://www.anyvet.de/100518_holland_nano.asx.mp4.bin
I renamed it to "*.bin" to prevent the webbrowser trying to play it -

Try renaming it .TS instead of .MP4. I'm downloading your file now...
That's a very strange video. It has WMV3 video in an MPEG transport stream. I've never seen this before. Several players could play the audio but only VLC would play the video. I tried several TS muxers and demuxers but nothing was able to handle the video except VLC. I was able to remux the video and audio into a WMV container with VLC's Convert/Save function. Other players would then play the video and audio, although there were some problems at the start (probably because the transport stream starts in the middle of a GOP, maybe even in the middle of a frame).Last edited by jagabo; 20th Jun 2010 at 20:17.
