    Hi,

since a few weeks I can only use the program when I turn of my Virus Scanner.
It tells me TR/Dropper.Gen is found and locks it.

What can I do to have it operating normally again ???

    Thanks for help.

    It is a false positive:

...but I have not seen anything on how to actually FIX it yet from Avira.

They did say it would be "fixed" in one of the definition updates..... However can you not add it to the exclude list in the meantime?

I sent the most recent version to Avira labs for analysis and they got back to me and said it has now properly been set as a False Positive:

A listing of files alongside their results can be found below:
File ID Filename Size (Byte) Result 25759551 VOB2MPG.exe 903.08 KB FALSE POSITIVE
Please find a detailed report concerning each individual sample below:
    Filename Result VOB2MPG.exe FALSE POSITIVE
The file 'VOB2MPG.exe' has been determined to be 'FALSE POSITIVE'. In particular this means that this file is not malicious but a false alarm. Detection is removed from our virus definition file (VDF) with the version: 7.10.8.122.
