Hi,
Can someone please recommend a USB capture card that supports the capturing of raw VBI (Vertical Blank Interval) data?
So far, I have tried a Dazzle and WinTV capture card, but they do not appear to read VBI.
I'm interested in capturing XDS data.
(I am using Ubuntu Linux, and the program "Zapping" and I receive the error "/dev/vbi0 is not a raw vbi device".
Thanks,
Jason

The ATI 550/650 drivers extract XDS data. You may need to use the ATI Windows App. or a Windows PVR app.
Not sure if MythTV uses XDS in Linux. I'd expect it to.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to give the ATI 650 a try and see if I can read VBI.
Also, FYI - in case anyone else is looking, I found some other standalone tools
by searching for "usb vbi decoder".
