I have the Acer 6930 running on Windows 7. The webcam/mic was working fine in Vista, ever since I've upgraded to windows 7, the volume on the mic is very low. I've tried reinstall the webcam + audio drivers but those didn't help. I also checked to make sure the volume on it is cranked to the max, if I turn up the microphone boost, there is alot of static. Ideas?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

W7 handles audio differently than Vista or earlier Windows versions. Unless you can find a W7 driver for your mic, not sure of a easy fix. You might try an external mic and see if that helps. Or start searching the web for your specific laptop and a fix.

The driver is just the webcam driver right. since it's built in to it? They did have a win7 driver but that didn't help. I was thinking that it was a setting somewhere.

Acer has a support website with all the drivers. Also answer questions online.
