    Hello,

I am trying to convert a DVD to .MP4 with Xvid4PSP (XviD4PSP_5.0.37.8_r132) to work on my Iphone, and my audio is
out of sync (even in the preview window).

The preview, after selecting movie through DVD where it gives you the option to 'Select title' in drop down, does not
have any sync issues. Then it indexes, and afterward it gives me the option to 'select audio track', and both the 6ch
and 2ch are out of sync when I preview.

I searched the forums and have tried the following and still have sync issues...

    (1) installed YV12 Decoder

    (2) installed DivX Codec

    (3) This...

Anytime I've had trouble with XVID4PSP I just re-install ffdshow (using whatever version is current at the time) and
that seems to fix it up. Of course I'm always installing other (usually video releated) programs that I think must affect ffdshow somehow. I guess re-installing it fixes it.

    1.) Re-install ffdshow
    2.) Re-install XVID4PSP
    3.) Reboot
    4.) Try again
5.) Should work now (fingers crossed)

Could someone please help me with my Sync issue?

I am running Windows XPSP2 on intel Core 2 6600@2.4GHz and 3.25 RAM with NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS video. With Onboard audio Creative AudioPCI (ES1370, SB PCI 64/128 (WDM).

    Thanks,
    Tearren

If this was a commercial disc, how did you rip it ?

Personally, I rip it with DVDFab Decrypter as Movie only, choosing the sound track I want. I then use VOB2MPG to get a proper mpg file with the video and audio, and convert this file using Xvid4PSP.

No sync problems in conversion to date.

I tried this and it works well too, thanks. When it was done in VOB2MPG, I noticed it said something to the effect that it had resolved time stamp issues. It sounds like that may have something to do with the sync issues.

It's nice to know I have an alternative if I ever need to use the program.
