Thanks for the suggestion, it makes sense and I tried it although
rendering in FFV1 took about 20 minutes and rendered an unplayable file.

Sure wish I could get at the root of the problem.

    Here is the work flow.

    1. Using XcConvert or Morgify - Resize 4:3 images to 16:9 1920/1080.
    2. Using FFMPEG render png Images to HuffyUV in MKV container.
    3. Using KDENLIVE - Edit MKV Clips into and renderable sequence.
    4. Using KDENLIVE - Render to HuffyUV MKV.

    What is mysterious is that
    * consistently the effected sequences have the above glitch.

    * consistently the non effected sequences do not have the above glitch.

    * consistently in the frames that have the problem there is only 35-50 pixels wide effected.

Perhaps the root of the problem is in the source frames themselves but when I compare
both the Clip properties and image properties so far I see no differences at all.

    Any speculations or suggestions appreciated.

  2. Try using mod16 frame dimensions. For example, 720x400 instead of 720x404.
