Have a problem with jerky converted video that I posted about but was unable to solve. Home video .m2ts files play fine when I click on the file but are jerky when converted with Corel Movie Factory. So I'm trying AVStoDVD, using this guide http://adubvideo.net/how-to/convert-bluray-dvd-avstodvd. Converted file plays audio fine, but no picture just gray. Ideas?

  4. There are no issues in the log: DVD folder (VIDEO_TS) has been created correctly. Do you have problem in watching the video on the PC (what player are you using?) or on a standalone dvd player (burned DVD)?

Converted file in Window Media Player and WinDVD, both have audio fine but picture is just blank gray (not black). If I click on the raw .m2ts file on my PC it plays video/audio fine on both WMP and WinDVD. I haven't burned it to disc because 1) I don't think the result will be any different than what I see on my PC 2) I can't get AVStoDVD to recognize my blank disc/burner --but one issue at a time I guess

  6. Let's try to deepen:

    1. Have you installed Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow (and ffdshow is setup to decode AVC)?
    2. Before starting the AVStoDVD project, if you use the 'Preview Clip' feature, do you get a grey screen?
    3. Have you tried to use Media Player Classic to play the resulting DVD?
    4. To test the standalone player, you can burn the VIDEO_TS folder into a DVD/RW disc with ImgBurn.
    5. If everything fails, could you upload the videoclip somewhere to have it tested?

    Let me know

I installed ffdshow and that did the trick. Thanks for your help!

Off to my next problem, trying to figure out how to merge files.
