I have some SRT files for movie files. Unfortunately most of the SRT files will display text on the screen during the english and non-english portions of the video.
I want the text to be displayed only during the non-english scenes.
Is it possible to edit the SRT files to clear out the english text which is being displayed during the english spoken parts?
Or is there some other solution here?
I mainly use Media Player Classic Home Cinema, in case that is relevant.
Thanks,
TC

.srts's are text files. You can edit them with most text editors, including Notepad. Make a copy of the .srt first, so if you mess it up, you still have the original. Save it with the .srt extension when done.

--> Yeah, it is possible.
As said by redwuds ".srts's are text files. You can edit them with most text editors..."
Use Subtitle WorkShop which is free, keep avi & srt in same folder bearing same file name, open .srt file and
delete all unwanted subtitle and save it back.
