  1. Hello everyone, hope it's okay to post here and please do move my message to the correct section if necessary.

Anyway I have a pc with Nero 8 (& Nero Express Essentials SE or whatever). But if I select DVD Shrink to automatically use Nero when burning, I'm left with a DVD that will only work on a computer and not a DVD player.

But if I just save it as an ISO image and then click the file which then manually gets 'Nero Express Essentials SE' to burn the disc, I get a DVD that works fine on a computer and any DVD player.

So am I doing something wrong?

You will find scores of posts/topics for why you should NOT use NERO. I forget the exact reason right now but there's smth non-standard about the way the make dvds.

    1. Create an ISO and use Imgburn to make the disk.

    or

    2. Create DVD folders and also use Imgburn (build mode) to make the disk

Sounds like Nero is not making a standard format DVD. I don't think Nero has worked correctly with Shrink since V6. But there is a version of Shrink that works automatically with ImgBurn that would be a better choice: http://download3.videohelp.com/DVDShrink32_w_ImgBurn.rar

    And welcome to our forums.
