    Hi,

I currently use AnyDVD ripper to rip my dvd movies into the hard drive.
For each DVD, there is a folder named VIDEO_TS. I would like to
convert EACH folder into a single AVI file so I can download it and play it
    in my player.

Is there a freeware out there that can do such a conversion in Windows
environment? Easy of use and short conversion time is important and
subtitles are not crucial but good to have.

I just want the whole movie in a single AVI file.
The output AVI doesn't have to be of great quality but good enough.
Can someone recommend a tool that is not too difficult to use as well?
BTW, I currently use WinXP environment.

    Thank you

AutoGK or AVI.net are the two simplest if you want Xvid/Divx AVI files that will play in most players

I would use CloneDVD or DVDFab and choose the main movie option. Then compress it to AVI using one of the programs listed above. If you compress a full movie, the quality isn't very good and it is noticable.

When do you get that error?

For avi.net you need .net framework.

I get this message when I input the file in avi.net.
I also get this message when I input the file in AGK and do a preview.

I just check from my add and remove program list and I have
    the following:

    Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2
    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

    Am I missing something here?
