Hello specialists - I have a big big problem - my recorder is destroyed by water - ni chance to repair. But, I have some nonfinal DVDs. Is there a possibility to "final" the DVDs - that I can play on a normal DVD player - or on PC?

You can finalize them any another Panasonic DVDR. You can also finalize them with PC programs but it's much easier to use another Panny. Check a few of the recent threads, one recent one was talking about PC programs to use, I've never done it that way.

Thanks a lot jjeff - so iI looked for a another DV.
I can get a DMR E50 - but the online manual says "you can only finalize DVD, which made on THIS unit - Is this true? I hope - NO. I cant believe this.

The E-50 is a '03 Panasonic, if your currently have a EH-50 that's a '05.
The thumbnail view option(where a little thumbnail accompanies each title) was added in '04, so I'm not sure how DVDs recorded on a thumbnail recorder will finalize on a non thumbnail recorder.
I'd also be a little leary of a '03 recorder and how much more life it has in it's burner.
Personally I'd try and find a '04 or newer Panasonic to have the thumbnail feature.

What page on the online manual are you seeing your quote? I'm not quite sure what it's trying to say.

I found the note on page 40 at the English manual from 2004

Page 40 on the english manual I read only talks about home theaters? Even a basic model like the '06 ES-15(which many times can be found very cheap around here) would work good to finalize your discs.
