when you recover deleted files from a memory card with pc inspector smart recovery, it finds files and saves them. Problem is that it is only thumbnails found and not the video found, and ideas on how to get the actual video back??

if you haven't written anything to the memory card, your file recovery software is quite possibly not doing the job, there is a freeware application you could alternatively try...

    Smart Recovery 4.5

    They say the following...

"supports the following picture formats: .jpg, .tiff, .bmp, .gif, Canon .crw, Fuji .raf, Olympus .orf (E-XX), Olympus .orf (C5050), Kodak .dcr, Minolta .mrw, Nikon .nef (D1H/D1X), Nikon .nef (E5000/E5700), Sigma - Foveon .x3f. Plus Video files in .avi, QuickTime .mov format and audio files in .wav or .dss formats."

I've never had to use this software, but looks promising. Please post results if it works, good luck.

Convar has excellent products - and are free. If you can live with the limited limitations = worth the freeness, and they work.
