I have just used Adobe Premiere 1.5.1 and Matrox RTX100 to capture a 90 minute HI8 tape to convert to DVD. The MPEG file plays back well on the computer but when it is converted to DVD it plays really jerky and stuttery. The settings I am using are 6500 kbs VBR, PAL 720x576.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

No mention of your interlacing setting. Sounds like a field mismatch.

Try upper field first. I forget which the Matrox RTX100 uses.
Easy to test. If the still scenes are OK but motion is studdered, that usually means a field order reversal somewhere in the chain.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
