I'm new to the forum and a neophyte to this converting business...

    I'm converting a .mp4 to .flv using ffmpegX 0.0.9y

It converts fine and I can view the converted .flv movie with sound through ffmpeg's player

When I play it on my website I only get sound and no picture. Is there a setting that i'm missing
    when I convert it?

I think that when i'm converting I need to ensure that I "don't" include an FLV player component
in the file??? I think that's because the company that's hosting my flash site has there on player.

Any suggestions would be great, I have really been struggling with this and I want to use ffmpegX.

Depending on what's inside the MP4 file, you might not have to convert it to flv at all. Flash Player doesn't care about the file extension. FLV, MP4, whatever. It reads the contents of the file. You can even change the file extension from MP4 to FLV - no conversion required.

I suggest you try Mpegstreamclip to create an h264 MP4 and AAC audio track.

Can you provide an URL for the FLV (and possibly the site and MP4), so we may check what's going on?
