  1. i have pinnacle pctv tuner card which i use to record tv shows and the file gets saved in mpeg2 format which i write it on dvd using nero visoin 4 and make a dvd video disc
    the thing is i want to add subtitles to my files....like the translations u see in the movies...the text that come below....i want to do that
    i dont have any subtitle files so i will be manually typing each and every line.....and i want the videos to be in mpeg2 format,...dont mind changin the format but cannot compromise on quality

    pls suggest me any nice software or any tool that has easy interface which allows to do me all these functions

    Use a subtile software like subtitle workshop or subtitle edit and make srt subs. They should be able to load the mpeg2 (if not install ffdshow).

    Then I don't know if nerovision supports srt...but you can always use free tools like dvd flick, load mpeg2 and srt and make a dvd with switchable subtitles.

    You can author the DVD using ConvertXtoDVD - just put the mpeg2 file and the srt file in a folder and select the video file in ConvertXtoDVD - it will automatically pick up the subtitle file (which should have the same name as the video file. There are other programs around that will do it but these days VSO is the only authoring program that I use.
