  1. Hi,

I've recently bought an external HDD and started converting my entire DVD collection to mp4 using Handbrake, with the purpose of using my PS3 as mediaplayer. This works like a charm, and they all play on the PS3.
Now I've started converting the entire series of Sex and the City (I guess you won't believe me if I told you, that it belongs to my GF ). But for some reason my PS3 tells me that those files are not supported?!?!? Any ideas as to why?

mp4 is a container, and the type of compression used covers a bit of ground. You need to start with mediainfo (tree view) to find out what is in the files, and how they have been compressed. Once you know this, you will have some clues as to why the PS3 wont play them.

Changed the resolution to what ? The resolution in both videos listed above is the same, yet one plays. I suspect something else was also changed in the re-encoding.
