DVDDecrypter can rip one "angle" or branch....that's if your movie is not too new for DVDDecrypter's protection removal.
    I'd also try DVDFab.

Just like how MPEG or AVI files combine an audio and a video stream together by "Multiplexing" or MUXING them (kind of like how a zipper zips together 2 sides), a multi-angle DVD has multiple video streams muxed together into a single VOB file.

Now remember, in DVD-Video, since there is a 1GB file limit on the UDF formatted disc, this multiangle VOB file might get chopped into pieces (e.g.: part 1 of 2, part 2 of 2). You'll see this as VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc. Each segment contains ALL the angles (assuming the angles run through the entirety of the show).

Can you put this all into 1 AVI? Yes. But it's not easy to do. Have to use certain tools and multiple steps.

Will it play as you were thinking? Not unless you use a "Multi-angle AVI-aware" app (only a few out there).

If you want to scale this mountain for a few rare benefits, PM me, but be forewarned...

    Scott
