Hi people!
After alot of dead ends I give up on the idea of editing AVCHD files from my Casio EX-F1 Camera straight as they are in Sony Vegas. It seemed to work, but doesn't really as soon as I get down and dirty.
So what I wonder now is what the best intermediate format I should be converting my AVCHD .mov files into before editing in vegas? I'm obviously interested in loosing as little quality as possible while of course still not going RAW either. Also, what converter is the best to choose? I've always used SUPER but that's sort of lazy I guess

Probably cineform neoscene, unfortunately it's not free
A free alternative would be avid dnxhd , but it's a bit slower than cineform on windows
Neither are true lossless (they are in the category of "visually lossless"), and they require lots of free HDD space.
Best quality would be uncompressed, of course
