    Trying to experiment with iMovie 09. Source material is DV-AVI but the aspect ratio is missing / incorrect. Is there a way for me to, after importing the clip into iMovie, somehow manually configure the display aspect ratio so that iMovie can scale/render appropriately when I tell it to do its "burn DVD for the newbie" dance?

    Export it out from iMovie in the proper ratio (to QuickTime Movie) using the Apple Intermediate Codec (for as close to lossless as you can get). Then drop the result into iDVD.
