Just curious: Since ffmpeg has the -threads option, what's the difference with ffmpeg-mt? Also (should it be worthwhile), is there a place to download ffmpeg-mt Windows binaries without having to get MPlayer?

  2. I believe ffmpeg-mt has multithreaded decoders as well as a multithreaded encoders.

So since conversions involve both decoding and encoding, the -mt version should be faster. Worth a try, anyway.

    Thanks!
