  1. I've got an AC3 file I want to burn to a DVD, but it's ridiculously quiet. I've had a search for a way to increase the volume, but haven't found a solution that didn't require a ton of conversion as well as being five years old.

Has a simpler way of doing this been found?

  2. Made the audio in question louder, but it also moved the entire thing to the left speaker, rather than the balanced sound of the original file.

IT works fine here. Can you post more details about the ac3? channels.

Or else can you try audacity, it can import ac3 and export to ac3.
