I've been using Handbrake to convert DVD movies I've recorded to Ipod Touch format. It works great, but I have a question:
I've converted movies on three computers, all with about the same supposed and measured CPU speeds. But one computer converts at 45 fps, while the other two loaf along at about 16. I can only conclude that it's the speed of the DVD drive. Am I missing something?
Thanks.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Try copy/rip the dvd to your hdd first and then convert and compare the speed. If it's still that huge different post the computer details.
