    Hi All,

Last weekend I recorded a 14minute 49second video on my GoPro HD camera. When playing it back, with WMPLayer or VLC, it freezes after 4minutes 51seconds.

I wonder if there is anyway to fix the file so that the rest of it will play. Can anyone help me please?

Having read another thread on a similar topic here I have run Media Info on the file and here is the result:

I also tried running 'My MP4Box Gui' on the file but the resulting file still had the same problem.

I'd really appreciate your help on this - I'd love to see the end of the file!!

    Thanks so much

Try open in avidemux and see if it can read the entire file. It will probably crash...but if it doesn't try save as new mp4.

    Hi Baldrick,

Thanks so much. I've now tried running avidemux both by saying yes to the question it asks when I load my file, and on saying no. Both ways result in a file that still freezes at exactly 4minutes and 51seconds

    Anything else I could try?

    Thanks a lot
