The subject title pretty much sums it up. Whenever I use DVD Shrink to create the files to a main movie, particular chapter, etc., it puts RC protection on the files. Why?
    Thanks,

Well, in the options it allows you to specify what protection will be removed. This is why I found it odd to discover that it adds RC protection... or at least that's what FreeDVD claims. Is it a false positive on FreeDVD's part?

Most likely.Thousands of people here use and have used dvdshrink and there never has been any complaint about it adding any protection.
